Why Famhold

A Steadier Household, One Step at a Time

Our workshops are built for real families — with space for different points of view, clear structures, and materials you can keep using long after the session ends.

Structured Session Format

Each workshop follows a clear sequence — so conversations move forward rather than going in circles. Families leave with a shared understanding of what was covered.

No Opinions on Your Arrangements

We run sessions as education and organisation only. We do not comment on legal matters, financial positions, or family decisions — that space belongs to you.

Take-Home Materials Included

Prompt decks, agenda templates, binders, and handbooks — every session produces something tangible your household can refer to whenever it needs.

Designed for Malaysian Families

Sessions account for the multi-generational household patterns common in Johor and across Malaysia — with sensitivity to different communication styles and preferences.

Private and Confidential Setting

Sessions run in a discreet environment with clear boundaries around what is shared. Families can work through sensitive household matters without concern.

Flexible Scheduling

Single sessions and multi-week programmes can be scheduled around your household's availability — including weekend slots for working families in Johor Bahru.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of families attend your workshops?
Famhold workshops are attended by households at different stages — families who want to improve how they talk through household matters, those planning ahead for major life transitions, and those who simply want their shared documents more organised. There is no single profile. Families from Johor Bahru and the surrounding area make up most of our participants.
Do you give legal or financial advice during sessions?
No. Famhold sessions are educational and administrative in nature. We provide communication frameworks, prompts, and document organisation structures — we do not offer opinions on legal arrangements, asset distribution, or financial planning. If those areas need attention, we would encourage you to consult the appropriate professionals.
How long does each workshop take?
The Family Meeting Skills Session runs for approximately half a day. The Shared Records Workshop runs for a full day. The Family Records Programme spans several weeks with scheduled sessions and planned break periods in between — so families have time to review and prepare between meetings.
How many family members should attend?
There is no fixed number. For communication sessions, having two or more household members present tends to produce the most useful outcomes. For records workshops, the person who knows where most documents are kept is the essential attendee — others are welcome and often add useful context.
What is included in the session fee?
Each session fee covers the facilitator's time, printed materials for the session, and any physical take-home items described in the workshop (prompt decks, folder sets, binders, or handbooks). There are no add-on charges for the materials listed in each workshop description.
Are sessions held at your premises or can they come to us?
Standard sessions are held at our Johor Bahru premises at 8 Jalan Pelangi. For the multi-session Family Records Programme, we can discuss whether any portion of the programme might work better at your home address — please raise that when you enquire.
How do I know which workshop is the right starting point?
The easiest way is to get in touch and describe what your household is finding difficult. We are happy to outline which format would suit your situation — there is no obligation to book after that conversation.
