1. Definitions
Throughout these terms, the following words have the meanings below:
- "Famhold" / "We" / "Us" / "Our" — refers to Famhold, operating at 8 Jalan Pelangi, 80400 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia.
- "Participant" / "You" / "Your" — any individual or household representative who registers for or attends a Famhold session.
- "Session" or "Workshop" — any half-day, full-day, or multi-week programme offered by Famhold.
- "Materials" — printed prompt decks, agenda templates, binders, folder sets, scanning checklists, and handbooks distributed as part of a session.
- "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for a session, attending a workshop, or using this website, you confirm that:
- →You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- →You have read and understood these terms.
- →You have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not submit an enquiry or attend a session.
3. Description of Services
Famhold offers the following educational and administrative workshops:
Family Meeting Skills Session
A half-day educational session covering listening and household communication frameworks. Participants receive a printed prompt deck and agenda template. — RM 500 per session
Shared Records Workshop
A full-day organisation session focused on building a shared household records reference. Participants receive a draft binder and labelled folder set. — RM 1,650 per session
Family Records Programme
A multi-session programme covering household records reorganisation over several weeks. Participants receive scanning checklists, agenda templates, and a final printed handbook. — RM 4,500 per programme
All sessions are educational and administrative in nature. Famhold does not provide legal advice, financial advice, or any form of regulated professional services.
4. Enrolment & Attendance
- iEnrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or a written confirmation from Famhold.
- iiSession dates and times are agreed between the participant and Famhold at the time of booking.
- iiiRescheduling requests must be made at least 5 business days before the session date. We will do our reasonable best to accommodate rescheduling requests.
- ivFor multi-session programmes, participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. Break periods between sessions are factored into the programme design.
- vFamhold reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a session in cases of unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified as early as possible and offered an alternative date.
5. Payment & Refunds
- iAll fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- iiPayment is to be made in full prior to the commencement of a session unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing.
- iiiCancellations made more than 7 business days before the session date are eligible for a full refund, less any administrative costs incurred.
- ivCancellations made within 7 business days of the session date will not be eligible for a refund, though participants may transfer their place to another household member or reschedule (subject to availability).
- vIf Famhold cancels a session for reasons within our control, a full refund will be offered.
Payment methods accepted include bank transfer and other methods communicated at the time of booking.
6. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to:
- iEngage respectfully with facilitators and other attendees throughout sessions.
- iiAttend sessions at the agreed time and location.
- iiiHandle printed materials and shared stationery with care.
- ivKeep any information shared by other participants during a session confidential.
Famhold reserves the right to end participation for any individual whose conduct disrupts the session, without refund.
7. Intellectual Property
All session frameworks, printed materials, agenda templates, prompt decks, and handbooks produced by Famhold are the intellectual property of Famhold.
- iParticipants are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to use materials for their own household purposes only.
- iiMaterials may not be reproduced, redistributed, sold, or adapted without prior written consent from Famhold.
- iiiThis website and its contents are also protected by copyright and may not be copied without permission.
8. Disclaimers
Educational nature: Famhold's sessions are educational and organisational. They do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, psychological counselling, or any other regulated professional service. Nothing shared in a session should be relied on as a substitute for qualified professional guidance.
- iSession content is provided on the basis of general household communication and document organisation frameworks.
- iiFamhold does not represent that participation in a session will result in any particular outcome for a household.
- iiiWebsite content is provided for informational purposes and may be updated at any time without notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law:
- iFamhold's total liability to a participant in connection with a session shall not exceed the fee paid for that session.
- iiFamhold shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from participation in a session or use of this website.
- iiiNothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
10. Termination
- iEither party may terminate a booking by giving written notice, subject to the refund terms in Section 5.
- iiFamhold may terminate a participant's enrolment without notice if their conduct breaches these terms.
- iiiProvisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
We encourage participants to raise any concerns informally by contacting us first. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve matters without the need for formal proceedings.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. We will notify participants of material changes by email where we hold contact details.
Continued attendance at sessions or use of this website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
