Three Workshops, One Direction
Each Famhold format is designed for a different starting point — from a single skills session to a full household records overhaul.
Back to HomeHow Famhold Sessions Work
1. Enquiry & Assessment
A short initial conversation helps us understand your household's situation and recommend the right workshop format — at no charge and with no commitment required.
2. Prepared Session
We prepare a written agenda and all printed materials before the session. Participants know in advance what will be covered and what they will leave with.
3. Tangible Outcome
Every session concludes with printed take-home materials — a prompt deck, folder set, binder, or handbook — so the work continues after the facilitator has left.
Family Meeting Skills Session
A focused single session in which families learn listening frames, summary prompts, and agenda-setting techniques for steady household conversations. The session covers how to structure a household meeting, how to ensure each participant is heard, and how to agree on next steps without leaving unresolved loose ends. The facilitator stays clear of opinions on specific household arrangements or legal positions — the session teaches the skill, not the answer.
Key Benefits
- Practical listening and summarising techniques for household use
- Laminated prompt card deck to keep at home
- One-page household agenda template, printed and ready to use
- Suitable for 2–6 household members
Session Steps
- 1Opening round: what each participant hopes to get from the session
- 2Introduction to the listening and summarising frames
- 3Practising the frames with a household topic chosen by participants
- 4Reviewing the agenda template and agreeing how to use it at home
- 5Collecting materials and final questions
Shared Records Workshop
A practical full-day workshop in which your household maps out where records live and sets up a shared labelling system. The session runs as organisation and administration — not as an audit or analysis of what records contain. The facilitator guides participants through identifying categories of documents, agreeing on where each category should be kept, and setting up a labelled folder structure that any household member can navigate. Participants leave with a draft printed binder and a labelled folder set ready to use.
Key Benefits
- Household records inventory completed during the session
- Agreed labelling system that all members understand
- Draft printed binder with dividers and category sheets
- Small labelled folder set to take home and start using immediately
Session Steps
- 1Records mapping: listing all categories currently in the household
- 2Identifying gaps: what is missing or unaccounted for
- 3Setting up the agreed labelling and location system
- 4Assembling the binder and folder set
- 5Agreeing on who holds and maintains the system going forward
Family Records Programme
A multi-session programme running over several weeks with break periods between sessions. The programme guides a household through a thorough reorganisation of records — from initial inventory through scanning checklists and agenda-template creation to a printed final handbook. Each phase builds on the previous one, and break periods give families time to implement what was covered before the next session begins. The programme is educational and administrative; it does not include legal or financial opinions on what records contain.
Key Benefits
- Full records inventory with agreed categories and locations
- Scanning checklist for digital copies of key documents
- Family-meeting agenda templates for ongoing household discussions
- Printed final handbook covering all systems and agreements from the programme
Programme Phases
- 1Session 1: Records mapping and gap identification
- 2Break period: household completes initial sorting at home
- 3Session 2: Labelling, binder construction, scanning checklist
- 4Break period: household completes digital scanning steps
- 5Session 3: Meeting templates, programme review, final handbook handover
